Q. What does T.I.P.S. stand for?
A. T.I.P.S. stands for Training Intervention Procedures. It is a program that is designed to teach serving alcohol responsibly.

Q. Why is T.I.P.S. important to you?
A. T.I.P.S. teaches servers and sellers of alcohol how to recognize potential alcohol related problem situations as they arise, and how to intervene in a tactful, yet effective manner. As a result, servers can prevent guests from hurting themselves or injuring others.

Q. Who can teach T.I.P.S.?
A. The trainers must be licensed by Health Communications, Inc. of Washington, DC.

Q. How will T.I.P.S. help me get a job?
A. Insurance companies acknowledge the value of T.I.P.S. as a risk reduction tool by offering substantial savings on liquor liability coverage to T.I.P.S. Certified establishments. Some insurance companies and establishments require T.I.P.S. training.

Q. Are there any other Alcohol Awareness Programs?
A. Yes.

Q. Are all of the other Alcohol Awareness Programs recognized by Insurance Companies?
A. No.

Q. How can I tell if I am T.I.P.S. Certified?
A. Health Communications, Inc. Will send you your license. 

 

 

Online Registration

 

I am enrolling in Bartender of America Bartending School for T.I.P.S (Training for Intervention Procedures) a 4 clock hour program.

Upon successful completion I will receive T.I.P.S certificate.
Successful competition requires that students meet or exceed minimum academic standards of 75% on the written exam.

 
Number of hours per day: 4 hour
Days class meets: Monday  8:30am - 12:30pm
